Board of Directors

Sandy Ngo

Treasurer

My name is Sandy Ngo. It is with honour and great pleasure to be a Board member of the Young Chinese Professional Association (“YCPA”) for the 2023-2024 mandate.

Born and raised in the city of Montreal, I successfully graduated with a Major in accounting degree at John Molson School of Business, Concordia University, and obtained my Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in Fall 2022. I am currently working as an Associate at Roynat Inc., a subsidiary of Nova Scotia Bank.

Since 2015, I have been consistently volunteering for the YCPA for several important events for the past seven years. I was helping the Asian community to complete their annual tax returns during the annual tax clinic. I was also involved with organizing the YCPA Orchid Ball in 2018, 2019, and 2022. During my mandate for the YCPA Orchid Ball in 2018, I was able to improve the logistic of the event, resulting a greater efficiency of managing the event and data tracking for the board member.

I am now taking this opportunity to take part of the organization which aims to focus on the growth of Asian and Young Professionals. My goal is to achieve creating values and to provide the members with essential resources through various programs as we collectively and slowly reconnect after the disruption from the pandemic. I would also love to take part of innovating and optimizing financial management for the organization.

I believe that with my accumulated experience, my highly involvement, and having the passion to work with the YCPA, I would be able to help those around me. This is the reason why I have decided to present my candidacy, which is giving back to my community and to continue establishing pillars for the future generation of leaders.
I am looking forward to the development of the organization in the upcoming years and I aspire to be part of it.
