Each year, during the Asian Heritage Month, we hold our annual traditional Orchid Ball to highlight the Asian heritage, the beauty of Asian culture, and its members’ contribution to Quebec’s and Canadian societies. It is a signature event for the Asian community in the province of Quebec.
This year’s edition honors the transformative contributions of the Asian community to Quebec society. We celebrate how far we’ve come and the boundless potential of where we are headed. From the revitalization of Chinatown to the Asian-owned restaurants reshaping Montreal’s culinary landscape, from community leaders advocating for inclusive policies to artists and creatives enriching our cultural fabric, our communities are driving transformation across the province.
We envision communities that not only withstand change but lead it. As social, economic, and cultural waves continuously reshape our reality, it is our entrepreneurs building new enterprises, our executives breaking barriers in corporate and public leadership, our educators guiding the next generation, and our innovators pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. This year, the Orchid Ball carries this vision through the theme Riding the Waves of Change: recognizing that in an ecosystem where change is the only constant, communities play a vital role in helping us navigate each new shift. It is a call to acknowledge the people and partners who create the conditions for turning shifting realities into new pathways for shared prosperity.
