On May 8 2010, YCPA had respected its promise toward its members. It has taken the reputation of the Chinese and Asian communities to another level within the Quebec society. In a glamourous and sophisticated atmosphere, it hosted an event filled with about 500 people. The Orchid Ball was a real achievement! It was not only a success for the YCPA executives, but also for the whole Chinese and Asian communities of Montreal since this aforesaid event became a symbol of accomplishment for them. |
In fact, this success was spread out in the whole province of Quebec, since YCPA won the award for having organized the best activity 2009-2010 in the gala of the Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Quebec.
Among the guests, many well-known names circulated, such as Honorable Yolande James, Honorable Nicole Ménard, Honorable Justin Trudeau, Honorable Stéphane Dion, senator Joan Fraser, Honorable Emmanuel Dubourg, Madam Louise Harel… Many representatives from large corporate sponsors were also present to enjoy the event, such those from Deloitte, RBC, McMillan, Ernst & Young, HSBC, Kim Phat, Groupe Park Avenue… In addition to the above, more than 400 young professionals and business people joined the ball in there most beautiful goon and suit.
In order to entertain the night, YPCA executives retained the services of various outstanding artists to offer breathtaking performances, such as traditional Chinese dances, Japanese drums shows, without forgetting to mention a fashion show introducing the Spring and Summer 2010 collection of a well-known Quebec/Asian designer. But that was not enough for the YCPA executives, they enhanced the event by organizing a drawing with very attractive gifts, going from necklaces of pearls to a weekend in a brand new BMW roadster!
To conclude, YCPA had organized a thriving ball. An evening coloured with great artists, refined by distinguished guests, supported by significant corporate sponsors believing in our cause, and entertained by hundreds of young professionals and business people coming from Chinese and Asian communities interested in creating business relations together and with the Quebec and Canadian society. And for the people who were present during the Orchid Ball 2010, we wish to extend our utmost gratitude to you.
