In a delightful setting at the Union Française, YCPA invited young professional from diverse areas to attend the Tax Season Kickoff Seminar, the first of our 2010 Professional Seminars Series. We had the privilege to have Dr. William Zhang and Mr. Victor Wang as guest speakers.
Dr. William Zhang is an accounting professor known for his humour and his ability to teach complex accounting concepts. Using financial ratio indicators, Dr Zhang took the audience back in time and compared the current financial crisis to all important crisis of the 20th century. The attendees have learned much on the precursory signs of an upcoming crisis and the mechanics behind it.
Mr. Victor Wang, MBA, is an entrepreneur known for his insights in the investment world. He presented different investment opportunities adapted for during financial turmoil and compared their performances with other investment vehicles. He successfully proved with numbers and past experience that there is money to be made no matter in what financial situation we are.
