The 3rd of the 2010 monthly seminar series from YCPA
In a fast paced and global economy, there is an increasing need for businessmen and professionals to travel internationally. Most of them have either been sick or experienced downtime during their travel. During the seminar, Dr. Kenneth Tran (President of YCPA) showed us interesting statistics of predictable and unpredictable medical events happened during a trip, and taught us how to really travel healthily and safely abroad. He also presented real-life stories with the presence of a witness, whose travel could turn out messy if there wouldn't be a good travel insurance.
After the seminar, the attendees exchanged their personal travel experiences … Laughter resonated through the lounge while people mingled and exchanged their anecdotes from abroad. The vibe of the event even attracted people who were walking by the street to take pictures, apparently for inspiration.
“I have attended most of YCPA seminars and events, and every time we gain new membership, as well as new friends in the Asian community,” commented Leonard Xu, PR Director for YCPA, “Also, above the social aspect, YCPA events had put me in contact with successful professional and entrepreneurs, which injected incredible value to my career.”
Dr. Tran worked in the last three years in worldwide medical assistance and travel medicine in Asia. He is currently back in Montreal, working as chief of ER service and family medicine in few hospitals and medical clinics.
