On Friday, September 30, 2011, YCPA participated in the 'Journée des administrateurs' (Directors' Day) event organized by the RJCCQ, which took place at l'Auberge Gouverneur in Shawinigan. The day started with a remarkable seminar given by Michel Beauséjour FSA on 'Power Issues and Relationships". The topics addressed include, among others: strategic skills, balanced power, and the myths surrounding power. Then, during lunch, we had the honour of receiving Mrs. Julie Boulet, the Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity. She spoke to us on the topic of the aging workforce and the future retirees. She called on the effort of everyone because these are challenges that are faced by everyone. Finally, the afternoon took the form of a round table discussion surrounding various themes such as: business and sponsorship development, communication and advertising, organizing activities and event... The exchange of ideas and thoughts between directors of different young chambers of comerce of the province of Quebec has been very rewarding and useful for the continual improvement of YCPA.
YCPA would like to thank the RJCCQ for organizing this wonderful day of events, which allowed us to develop strategies that enable us to provide assistance to our members on personal and professional levels.
