ORCHID BALL 2011 : A CRUISE SUCCESS

Among YCPA’s achievements in 2011, the Orchid Ball was our greatest success. It is our flagship event and the association is grateful for the confidence and support that the community has showed to us.

On May 14, 2011, YCPA embarked its guests aboard the luxurious catamaran Belvü for a two-hour cruise on the St-Lawrence. Pascal Robidas, a journalist for Radio-Canada, hosted the evening with great enthusiasm. Amongst different performances during the evening, there was an artistic dance from Hua Yun, a Chinese dancing troup. Our guests were invited to taste various fine appetizers. YCPA welcomed over 300 distinguished guests, ranging from business to politic backgrounds. YCPA would like to thank many exceptional individuals: the Honorary President of the evening, Richard Pan (Vice President of Power Corporation) and the Honorary Co-Presidents, Tan Ong (senior partner at Deloitte Canada) and Winston Chan (President of the Young Quebec Chamber of Commerce). YCPA is honoured to have these outstanding personalities accept to be the special guests of the evening. We also wish to thank all the guests who braved the weather in order to join us for the celebration. There is no doubt that the success of the Orchid Ball 2011 would not have been possible without the support and presence of our distinguished guests.

With passion and energy, YCPA continuously works to bring the Orchid Ball to the next level. We continuously look to build relationships between the Quebec society and the Asian community. We form effective associations between Canadian professionals and Asian investors. We are the ambassadors of our professional community. Striving for the best, YCPA promises an extraordinary and excellent Orchid Ball for the year 2012.
